Current Situation: The stream was perineal but is now dry during periods of no rain. It is a candidate for Ha’iku stream restoration. See Part 4 of the Feasibility Study.

Additional Information: The Kaupakulua is diverted at least three times, once at the Lowrie Ditch and twice at the Kauikoa Ditch. The dam and reservoir at Kaupakulua has been removed.

This stream is tested intermittently by the HCA for water quality.
