February 2025 Litigation Status
The Sierra Club is involved in several on-going cases. Here is a summary of those cases. All involve Revocable Permits issued by the BLNR. These are all a matter of public record
Appeal of Trial re 2019 & 2020 revocable permits: awaiting a decision from the ICA (Intermediate Court of Appeals).
Appeal of denial of contested case request for 2021 revocable permit: awaiting a decision from the Supreme Court. The contested case was before the State Land Board (the BLNR). The Board denied the Contest Case and the latter was appealed to the Hawai’i Supreme Court.
Appeal of 2022 contested case hearing on revocable permit: awaiting decision on application for certiorari to the Hawai’i Supreme Court (but no longer moot)
